A bead that runs is too wet, meaning too much monomer for the amount of polymer, and it will flood the sidewalls and the skin at the base and cause lifting and possible sensitization. Picking up less liquid gives a bead that sits like a soft ball and can be pressed into place. Adding more monomer makes it worse, and liquid-and-powder cures by polymerization on its own and never goes under a lamp.
