Where our content comes from

• The official source for each exam — every topic blueprint is sourced from the body that administers the exam: the state regulatory board for licensed professions (e.g., CSLB, CDI), the certifying vendor for technology exams (e.g., AWS, CompTIA), the official test plan for healthcare (NCLEX, CNA), and the regulator or sponsor for finance and mortgage exams (e.g., SIE, NMLS).
• Primary reference material by field — explanations point back to the authoritative source for that field: statutes, codes, and regulations for regulatory/law exams (Business & Professions Code, Insurance Code, relevant Federal Code, etc.); official exam guides and product documentation for technology; official test plans and clinical standards for healthcare; and regulator or vendor materials for finance.
• AI-assisted drafting, human editorial review — questions and explanations are drafted with AI assistance against those sources, then reviewed by our editorial team before publishing. Career-guide salary data is anchored against public labor-statistics releases, cited inline.

How questions are written

• Every question is traceable to the specific source it tests — a statute or board rule for regulatory and law exams, or the official exam guide, test plan, or vendor documentation for technology, healthcare, and finance. The citation appears in the answer explanation.
• Every explanation is 300+ characters and follows a fixed structure: name the rule or concept → explain why the correct answer is right → explain why the strongest distractor is wrong → cite the governing statute, official exam guide, or board reference.
• Distractors (wrong answer options) are written to represent common candidate misconceptions, not random or implausible options — so the exam practice mirrors real test conditions.
• Questions are original and drafted with AI assistance, then editorially reviewed — never copied from any commercial or official test bank. PrepPass does not have access to (and does not claim access to) any exam's actual questions.

How we keep content fresh

Fees, rules, statute section numbers, exam blueprints, and vendor exam versions change periodically. Our review schedule:

If you spot a question with a wrong answer, an outdated fee, an incorrect statute citation, or a translation issue, please use the feedback form. Include the URL, the exact field, and what should be changed — we'll review within 7 days.
