访问 abcbiz.abc.ca.gov 创建服务员账户。
常见选项：TIPS（$25）、A+ Server（$14.95）、LiquorExam（$12.95）、iServeSmart（$12.95）。

Frequently Asked Questions
Who needs California RBS certification?+
Per AB 1221 (effective July 1, 2022), any alcohol server, bartender, or their manager at a California on-premises ABC-licensed establishment must be RBS-certified within 60 calendar days of hire. This includes restaurants, bars, nightclubs, hotels, and special events with on-premises consumption.
How much does California RBS certification cost?+
ABC charges one non-refundable $3 server registration fee on the RBS Portal, and that $3 includes the certification exam — it is the only fee paid to the state. The training beforehand is bought separately from an ABC-approved provider, which sets its own course fee; ABC publishes no price or range for it, so neither do we. Some employers cover the cost.
How long is California RBS certification valid?+
3 years from the date you pass the exam. You must complete renewal training and exam before expiration to remain legally able to serve alcohol on-premises in California.
What's on the California RBS exam?+
50 multiple-choice questions, self-paced, covering ABC laws (BPC §§25600-25761), alcohol's physiological effects, signs of intoxication, refusing service, valid ID verification (BPC §25660), liability (dram shop), and special situations such as events and minor decoys.
What's the passing score for the RBS exam?+
70% or better, set by ABC itself — not by your training provider. You get three attempts, all within 30 days of your confirmed training. If you fail all three, or let the 30 days lapse, you must take a new training course and pay the $3 exam fee again.
Can I take RBS training in a language other than English?+
Yes — many ABC-approved providers offer RBS training and exams in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and other languages. Filter the provider list on the ABC RBS Portal by language.
What happens if I serve alcohol without RBS certification?+
After the 60-day window, ABC can fine the licensee (your employer) and you risk being barred from serving. ABC tracks compliance through the RBS Portal — both employer and worker are responsible under AB 1221.
