Adjust your speed to the posted limit, the traffic and the weather.
Speed limits
Unless otherwise posted, the limit is 50 km/h in urban areas and 80 km/h on rural highways. Playground zones are 30 km/h from 8:30 a.m. until one hour after sunset.
Following distance
Keep at least a two-second gap from the vehicle ahead, and increase it in rain, snow or fog. Larger gaps give you room to see and stop.
Weather
Rain, snow, ice and darkness cut traction and visibility, so slow down and use your headlights. Stopping distances grow greatly on slippery roads.
