Finishing

Compounds and tape
Drying-type compounds dry; setting-type compounds set by chemical reaction. Mesh tape goes with setting compound.
Mesh tape
Do not use self-adhering mesh with drying-type compounds.

A skim coat over the whole surface for gloss paint or critical light.
