| Administering body | Nebraska Real Estate Commission (NREC) — exam delivered by Pearson VUE After NREC approves the application, Pearson VUE receives the authorization and the candidate books online or by phone at least one calendar day ahead. NREC's own documents disagree on the pre-licensing hours — one says 96 hours in total, another heads the same requirement as 60 hours plus a 6-hour course — so PrepPass does not state a figure; confirm it with NREC. | Questions | 135–145 questions 130 scored items — 80 national and 50 state — plus unscored pretest items. The handbook's exam table gives 5 to 10 pretest items for the exam, but its content outlines give 5 national plus 5 to 10 state; the range covers both. | Passing score | 75% Required on each part, national and state. A salesperson candidate who passes one part keeps that credit for 3 further attempts or 6 months, or until the application expires, whichever comes first; after that the full exam is taken again. Each retake needs a new NREC authorization and fee. | Fees |
NREC fees are non-refundable. The retake fee within one year of application is the same as the exam fee. A salesperson license expires at the end of the calendar year in which it is issued, and the two-year renewal fee is $180. | Languages offered | Not published by NREC / Pearson VUE None of the listed documents states the languages the exam is offered in; they were searched for “language”, “English” and “Spanish”, and the only hit is that identification must be in English. PrepPass therefore names no exam language.
