Right of Way & Giving Way
Hong Kong drives on the left, which sets the direction of overtaking, roundabouts, and giving way.
Keep left, overtake right
Keep to the left and let faster traffic pass on your right. Overtake only on the right, and only when you can clearly see the road ahead is safe. Do not overtake near bends, crossings, or junctions.
Roundabouts
A roundabout flows clockwise, so circulating vehicles reach you from the right. Give way to any vehicle already on the roundabout, choose your lane early, and signal as you leave.
Box junctions and turns
Do not enter a yellow box junction unless your exit is clear, so you never block cross traffic. When turning, give way to pedestrians already crossing the road you are entering.
