Alcohol, Fitness & Licensing
The KPP theory stage builds safe attitudes, and staying sober and fit to drive is a legal duty.
Alcohol
Malaysia enforces a legal blood alcohol limit through JPJ and the police, and that limit has been subject to legal change. Rather than rely on any specific figure, the safest rule is to never drink and drive, because any alcohol impairs judgement and reaction time. Confirm the current legal limit officially.
Testing and penalties
Police can lawfully require a breath test where drink-driving is suspected, and refusing a lawful test is itself an offence. Penalties for drink-driving are severe.
KPP and probation
The KPP theory stage teaches rules, signs, and safe attitudes before practical training and testing. New drivers usually hold a probationary 'P' licence with stricter conditions and should build experience carefully. Confirm the current process with JPJ.
