Right of Way & Giving Way
Malaysia drives on the left, which sets the direction of overtaking, roundabouts, and giving way.
Keep left, overtake right
Keep to the left and let faster traffic pass on your right. Overtake only on the right, only when the road ahead is clearly safe. Never overtake on bends, near junctions, or across a double line.
Roundabouts
A roundabout flows clockwise, so circulating vehicles reach you from the right. Give way to any vehicle already on the roundabout, choose your lane early, and signal as you leave.
Turning and lane changes
Before turning or changing lanes, check your mirrors, signal in good time, and check blind spots. Move only when it is clearly safe, and give way where a sign or marking requires it.
