Adult BAC limit
A driver 21 or older is legally intoxicated at a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent. You can still be charged at a lower level if alcohol or drugs affect your driving.
Zero tolerance for under 21
Under Missouri's zero-tolerance and 'Abuse and Lose' laws, a driver under 21 can lose driving privileges at a BAC of 0.02 percent or higher. Any measurable alcohol is a serious risk for a young driver.
Graduated licensing
Missouri issues an instruction permit at age 15, an intermediate license at 16, and a full license at 18 after the requirements are met. Intermediate drivers face nighttime and passenger restrictions while they gain experience.
