Rules of the Road & Right of Way
Right-of-way rules decide who proceeds first so traffic flows safely. In Nevada you yield rather than force your way, and you give room to stopped emergency vehicles.
Intersections and stops
At a four-way stop, the first driver to arrive goes first; if two arrive together, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right. When turning left, yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
Roundabouts
Enter a roundabout to the right, travel counterclockwise, and yield to pedestrians and to vehicles already circulating. Signal before you exit.
Move Over Law
When you approach a stopped emergency, law-enforcement, or highway-service vehicle with flashing lights, move over one lane if you can do so safely. If not, slow down and pass with caution.
