Ohio sets education, examination, and eligibility requirements for licensure. Meeting these is the first step to practicing.
Education and Examination
Salesperson applicants must complete the required pre-license coursework and pass the state licensing examination administered through PSI. Applicants must meet minimum age and character requirements. The exam includes separate national and state portions.
Affiliation and Renewal
A newly licensed salesperson must work under a supervising broker who holds the license. Licenses are renewed periodically with continuing education, including post-license education for new licensees. Maintaining affiliation and current CE keeps the license active.
