Safely Sharing the Road
Motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians need extra care.
Following and overtaking
Keep at least a two-second gap, more in the wet. Overtake on the right only when the road ahead is clear and it is safe, then return to the left.
Vulnerable road users
Motorcyclists are less visible and can hide in blind spots, so check carefully and give them space.
Probationary drivers
A new driver must display probation (P) plates at the front and rear during the probation period.
