Finding Common Mistakes
Learners at A2 often make the same small mistakes with verbs, word order and agreement. This chapter helps you notice and fix them.
Verb Agreement and Form
Remember the -s on he/she/it in the present simple ('He likes tea'). After 'to' use the base verb ('I want to go'). After 'did' or 'didn't' also use the base verb.
Word Order
English usually follows subject + verb + object. Adjectives come before the noun ('a red car', not 'a car red'). Frequency adverbs like 'always' and 'never' usually go before the main verb.
