Error Correction
Intermediate learners make predictable mistakes with tenses, prepositions and word forms. This chapter helps you spot and fix them.
Tense and Time Markers
Match the tense to the time marker: 'since'/'for' with the present perfect, 'ago'/'last week' with the past simple. A mismatch such as 'I have seen him yesterday' is a common error.
Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Uncountable nouns like 'information', 'advice' and 'money' have no plural and take 'much'/'a little', not 'many'/'a few'. Saying 'informations' or 'many advices' is incorrect.
