The Charter of Rights and Freedoms
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, part of the Constitution since 1982, protects fundamental freedoms such as freedom of conscience and religion, freedom of expression, and freedom of peaceful assembly. Canadian law also draws on English common law, French civil law, and unwritten British constitutional traditions.
Responsibilities of Citizenship
