Loading & Passengers

Which of the following hazardous materials is a bus permitted to carry?

  1. ATear gas devices
  2. BAny amount of Division 2.3 poison gas
  3. CA large quantity of explosives in the passenger compartment
  4. DSmall-arms ammunition labeled ORM-DCorrect

Why: Buses may carry small-arms ammunition labeled ORM-D, emergency shipments of drugs or hospital supplies, and small amounts of some other hazardous materials. Buses are prohibited from carrying explosives, poison gas, tear gas, and most other hazardous materials. Never carry hazardous materials unless you are sure the rules allow it.

Safe Driving

At a railroad crossing, buses are generally required to:

  1. AChange lanes
  2. BOnly stop if gates are down
  3. CStop, look, and listen before crossing, whether or not a train is comingCorrect
  4. DSpeed up to clear the tracks quickly

Why: Buses must stop before railroad crossings, generally within 15 to 50 feet of the nearest rail, then look and listen for a train before crossing. Do this even when no train is in sight, unless the crossing is specifically exempt. Never stop on the tracks.

Questions

Asked before starting.

Is the practice really free, or does it stop after a few questions?

All 80 questions, the timed mock and the report are free with no sign-up. A free account only adds saving your progress.

Is your mock the same as the real CDL Passenger Endorsement?

No. Ours is 30 questions in 45 minutes; the real exam is 80 questions. Use the mock for stamina and section timing, not as a score predictor.
