The OSHA 300A annual summary
OSHA Form 300A, the Annual Summary of the year's recordable cases, must be posted in a conspicuous workplace location from February 1 to April 30 each year - and it must be posted even if there were zero recordable cases. Form 300 is the running log, and Form 301 is the single-incident report.
Why recordkeeping matters
Accurate injury-and-illness records let a contractor spot hazard trends, satisfy OSHA inspections, and demonstrate a functioning safety program. Posting the 300A also keeps workers informed of the site's recordable incidents, which supports a stronger safety culture.
