| Administering body | CompTIA A+ requires two exams, Core 1 and Core 2, taken from the same version. The current Core 1 is 220-1201, launched March 25, 2025, with estimated retirement in 2028. Its domains: Mobile devices 13%, Networking 23%, Hardware 25%, Virtualization and cloud computing 11%, Hardware and network troubleshooting 28%. The older 220-1101 is no longer offered.
