Administering bodyFlorida Department of Financial Services (DFS) — exam delivered by Pearson VUE

DFS states that Florida insurance exams can now be booked only at a physical test centre: OnVUE online proctoring is no longer available for new reservations. Before the licence is issued, Florida Statutes 626.7851 and 626.8311 require department-approved pre-licensing coursework completed within the 4 years before applying, each including 3 hours of ethics — for example a 60-hour multi-line course that covers life, annuities and variable contracts, and health — unless an exemption applies (such as certain professional designations, or members and veterans of the US Armed Forces and their spouses).
