Administering bodyGeorgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire — exam delivered by Pearson VUE

The handbook requires an 8-hour Life course and an 8-hour Accident and Sickness course, taken within the last 12 months, before the exam; the training is valid for 1 year. The handbook and the Commissioner's page describe testing at Pearson VUE test centers and do not describe an online-proctored option.

There is no limit on the number of attempts.

Fees
  • $67 — Examination fee (12-GA-05 Life/Accident/Sickness Agent COMBO) (Pearson VUE, per attempt)
  • $100 — Agent licence fee (Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, one-time)
  • $20 — Licence processing fee (Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, one-time)

All three amounts are from the handbook. The Commissioner's page lists a single payment of $120 for the agent licence, which matches the $100 licence fee plus the $20 processing fee. Fingerprinting is booked through a separate vendor and its fee is not printed in these documents.
