Passing scoreScaled score of 70 on a 0–100 scale

The handbook ties the scaled cut of 70 to Nevada Administrative Code 683A.270 and states that the scaled score is neither the number nor the percentage of questions answered correctly. A candidate who fails must wait 24 hours before booking a re-examination and must retake the entire exam; online (OnVUE) testing allows two attempts per exam, after which a test center is required.

Fees
  • $47 — Examination fee (combo exam: Life and Health) (Pearson VUE, per attempt) Source
  • $185 — State licensing fee (resident individual producer) (Nevada Division of Insurance, one-time) Source

The exam fee is from the October 2024 handbook, the edition Pearson VUE currently links. The licensing fee is from the Division's current producer page, which adds that the application vendor may charge transaction fees on top. The handbook prints no licence fee, so there is nothing to disagree with. Fingerprinting is done through an approved vendor and its fee is not printed in either source.
