The content outline for this exam has three parts: Life general knowledge, 50 scored plus 5 pretest questions; Health general knowledge, 50 scored plus 5 pretest; and the Wyoming state section, 35 scoreable plus 5 pretest. Pretest questions do not affect the score.

Passing score70%

Partial passes are not allowed: if any part of the combined exam is failed, the whole exam must be retaken, and 70% must be reached on the entire exam. A retake cannot be booked at the test center, and the candidate must wait 24 hours before booking. The licence application must be completed within one year of passing.

The $113 fee applies to combination major-line exams; single-line exams are $96. The handbook says exam fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except under its change and cancellation policy. The $100 licence fee (the Department's initial application figure for residents) and the $39 fingerprint fee are from the Department's current producer page; a fingerprint packet is mailed after the application is received.
