Road Signs & Signals
Signs and signals give you instructions and warnings at a glance so you can act early and safely.
Sign shapes and colours
Learn signs by shape and colour. An octagonal red sign means STOP. A downward-pointing red triangle means GIVE WAY (yield). Red-bordered triangles warn of hazards ahead, while round signs with a red border and a slash show something is prohibited.
Guide and information signs
Rectangular blue or green signs give directions, place names, and distances. They inform rather than command, but reading them early helps you plan lane changes and turns calmly.
Traffic signals
Green means go if the way is clear, amber means stop unless you are too close to stop safely, and red means stop before the line. Always give way to pedestrians who are already crossing.
