Arkansas Licensing Requirements

A person who passes the Arkansas salesperson examination may begin practicing real estate when:

  • a.The exam score is posted
  • b.The license is placed with and supervised by a principal broker
  • c.The applicant joins the Realtors association
  • d.The applicant completes post-license education

Passing the exam is one step; an Arkansas salesperson may conduct licensed activity only after the license is placed with a principal broker who supervises the salesperson. Post-license education is required during the first licensing period, but active practice begins when the license is affiliated with a principal broker.
