Delaware Licensing Requirements

A person who passes the Delaware salesperson examination may begin practicing real estate when:

  • a.The exam results are posted
  • b.The license is placed with and supervised by a licensed Delaware broker
  • c.The applicant joins a trade association
  • d.The applicant pays the Guaranty Fund assessment

Passing the exam is one step; a Delaware salesperson may conduct licensed activity only after the license is placed with a licensed broker who agrees to supervise the salesperson and accept responsibility for the licensed activity and escrow money. Without an employing broker, the license is not active.
