Rules of the Road & Right of Way
Right-of-way rules keep Saskatchewan intersections orderly and predictable.
Uncontrolled intersections
Where there are no signs or signals and two vehicles arrive together, yield to the vehicle on your right. When turning left on a green light, yield to oncoming traffic and to pedestrians first.
Right turn on red
You may turn right on a red light after coming to a complete stop and yielding to pedestrians and traffic, unless a sign prohibits it. Never turn until the way is clear.
Roundabouts and school buses
At a roundabout, yield to traffic already circulating and enter on a safe gap. On an undivided road, traffic in both directions must stop for a school bus showing flashing red lights.
