Rules of the Road & Right of Way
At a four-way stop where two vehicles arrive at the same time, right-of-way goes to:
- AThe vehicle on the rightCorrect
- BThe vehicle on the left
- CThe faster vehicle
- DThe vehicle turning left
Why: When vehicles reach a four-way stop together, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right. (Washington Driver Guide, right-of-way)
Signs & Signals
A red, eight-sided (octagonal) sign requires you to:
- AMake a complete stop, then go when it is safeCorrect
- BSlow down and yield
- CMerge with traffic on your left
- DStop only for pedestrians
