Rules of the Road & Right of Way
At a four-way stop where two vehicles arrive at the same time, right-of-way goes to:
- AThe vehicle turning left
- BThe larger vehicle
- CThe driver on the left
- DThe driver on the rightCorrect
Why: When drivers arrive together at a four-way stop, the one on the left yields to the one on the right. (Idaho Driver's Manual, right-of-way)
Signs & Signals
A red, eight-sided (octagonal) sign means you must:
- ASlow down and yield
- BStop only if pedestrians are present
- CMake a complete stop, then proceed when it is safeCorrect
- DMerge right
Why: The octagon is reserved for STOP; stop at the line or crosswalk, then go when it is safe. (Idaho Driver's Manual, traffic signs)
