Rules of the Road & Right of Way
At a four-way stop, if two vehicles arrive at the same time, the driver who yields is:
- AThe faster vehicle
- BThe vehicle on the right
- CThe vehicle on the leftCorrect
- DThe one going straight
Why: When two vehicles reach a four-way stop together, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right. (Oklahoma Driver's Manual, right of way)
Signs & Signals
A red, eight-sided (octagonal) sign requires you to:
- ASlow down without stopping
- BStop only if a signal is present
- CYield only to trucks
- DCome to a complete stop, then go when it is safeCorrect
Why: A red octagon is a STOP sign. Stop fully at the stop line, crosswalk, or intersection, then proceed when it is safe. (Oklahoma Driver's Manual, traffic signs)
